WSU students are volunteering with the Center for the Study of Citizenship to support Detroit Public Schools Community District's After School Civic Literacy Clubs. This session is to introduce WSU students to a deliberative forum. They will be using what they learn to help Detroit high schools students advocate for issues they care about through naming, deliberating, building coalitions to obtain responses from the political system (needs, demands, response model).
