Kettering and NIFI are hosting a moderator training session for K-12 and college faculty and teaching assistants interested in using Common Ground for Action in your fall semester/quarter classrooms. In the training, we will discuss how to set up a CGA forum, what the responsibilities of a CGA moderator are, and hacks and tricks for moderating. We will then work in partners to set up and practice moderating a forum. We will conclude with questions and answers about how to integrate CGA into your classroom and potential assignments and evaluation metrics. We will use join.me, a free screenshare and audio conference program. You will need a computer with internet access, speakers, and preferably a microphone (not required, but helpful) to participate.
This is a two-part training session for two hours each. Session #1 is August 15 from 1-3:00pm EST and August 16th from 3-5pm EST. Don't worry about the date/time on the right sidebar here on the NIFI website. The CORRECT dates/times are :
*August 15 @ 1-3pm EST AND
*August 16 @ 3-5pm EST
