I would like to invite you to participate in an online forum on the future of our small town communities. These forums are a project of the German Marshall Fund alumni network, and are going on throughout the US and even in Europe. The results from these forums will be reported to a new generation of leaders focusing on urban/rural issues who will be making policies that directly affect our communities, our economies, our families and our day-to-day lives.
This online forum for women from rural communities and small towns will be Wed. Sept. 25 at 1:30 pm CT— please register here: https://forms.gle/4aDZAGkSc4PceeV76
Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive a calendar invite and reminder emails, but all you need to participate in the forum is this forum link: http://findcommonground.org/game/join?joinId=006651241
All you do is click the link about 5 minutes before the forum starts. Note, the forum link won’t go live until right before the start time, so don’t bother trying to click it now : )
Of course, since this is all online, you will need internet access, and, ideally, a computer or tablet—there’s no audio or video component, it’s all chat/typing plus some graphics. If you’d like to take a look at the framework we’ll be using for our forum, it’s attached to this email (and it’s also available in the forum itself), and there’s also a video explaining how the forum platform works.
If you know other women you think should be invited, please just forward them this email and ask them to register. We would love to have them!
Thank you so much,
