This event is a forum that will be open to the public to discuss issues pertaining to our national security. Discussion will focus on three main areas of concern: terrorist threats, economic threats, and public health threats.
Questions are welcome and experts in matters of national security will be present. The goal of this event is to achieve a general understanding of the public's opinion on the best solutions for our government to maintain national security, and to send the results of the forum to our local and state policy makers to inform them of the public's opinion so that they may work to put these solutions into action.
The event will take place in the Junior Cafeteria of Carthage High School and will be moderated by students from the Carthage High School 12 Honors Social Studies Class.
The 12 Honors class welcomes all to come and attend this event, to offer their opinions and to learn more about the topic of national security. Particularly with the impact of Fort Drum on our community, this issue is very relevant to Jefferson County and New York as a whole. All are welcome!
