On January 9 at 2:30 p.m., Jean Johnson, vice president of National Issues Forums Institute, and Brad Rourke, editor of issue guides for the Kettering Foundation, will do a conference call walk-through of the new (available soon) NIF issue guide, “Health Care: How Can We Bring Costs Down While Getting the Care We Need?” They will discuss the options and trade-offs outlined in the guide and some of the tensions within the issue, as well as potential challenges for moderators. Kara Dillard, Common Ground for Action (CGA) operations and moderator training specialist for the National Issues Forums Institute and Assistant Professor, James Madison University, will talk about the online version of the guide and how moderators can enrich the deliberations.
