Rebecca M. Townsend, Ph.D., is a communication scholar who has taught at community colleges, private universities, and large research focused universities in the US and in Poland. Her research is on rhetoric and culture, and public engagement, especially in transportation policy (for which she won a White House Champions of Change award). She is the elected Moderator for her town's Open Town Meeting legislature.
